The Story Studio's writing courses are fun-packed, and bursting at the seams with inspiration and creativity!
Our term-time and holiday workshops are enjoyed by imaginative children who like reading and writing stories. Our students are aged seven to fifteen, and have English as their first or joint first language. We also welcome children who study at English medium schools. Each of our classes holds a maximum of eight students (small groups work best as interactivity plays an essential role in all our workshops).
In every workshop, fun learning activities guide students towards writing creative stories, putting in to practice the aspect of story writing they've studied that lesson. Students also benefit from having workshop time to focus on common areas of writing weakness: grammar, sentence and paragraph structure, capitalisation, punctuation, and spelling. Importantly, they have fun doing it!
Our home study storybooks are the perfect tool for encouraging creativity in all children - those who enjoy already the act of putting their imagined worlds and characters on to paper, and wish to improve their story-writing skills; those children who like to write stories, and need a little help getting started; and those who believe they can't write stories at all (yes, they really can!).
Our storybooks are ideal for children who cannot get to The Story Studio weekly workshops, and for those who simply prefer to learn in their own space, and time. Current Story Studio students wishing to study creative writing outside of our workshops may also find these storybooks useful, as they offer additional instruction, inspiration, and writing tasks.
