Terms & Conditions
1. Workshops will start and end on time. Please arrange for timely drop-off and pick-up of students. The Story Studio will not take any responsibility for the welfare or well-being of students outside of workshop time.
2. Students are accepted on a full course basis. No partial payments are accepted prior to the start of the course. If a student is accepted to join the course after it has started, payment will be calculated on a pro rata basis. Please note: a student’s place on the course is ONLY secured after payment has been received.
3. We expect our students to behave as they would in any educational situation. As such, we won't accept the following types of behaviour: distracting others; challenging the teacher's authority; speaking (or writing) using inappropriate language (e.g. swear words); stealing or damaging The Story Studio's - or other students' - property; hurting others (physically or emotionally); inappropriate or dangerous behaviour (inside or outside of the classroom); bullying (directly in person, or indirectly by phone or via the Internet).
4. Typhoon/Enforced Closures: Workshops will not run while the Typhoon Signal no.3 is raised or the Red Rainstorm warning is in force. No refunds will be given for a workshop cancelled under these circumstances; the workshop will be carried forward to the following week (this will depend on date availability within the existing term-time schedule), or to the following term.
5. Holidays
6. Missed workshops: If a student misses a workshop for any reason other than those addressed in 4 and 5 above, a make up class may be requested, though cannot be guaranteed.
7. Refunds: All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
8. Waiver: The Story Studio accepts no responsibility or liability for the loss of, or damage to, a student’s property, or for any injury or accident sustained by a student. Students, parents & guardians agree that no claims will be made against The Story Studio or Sharon Lesley Le Roux.
8. The Story Studio cannot accept guests. We know play dates/sleepovers happen, however we ask that you don't put us in the difficult position of having to turn away your child’s play-date guest. This also applies to siblings.
9. Occasionally, we will use photos taken during workshops to advertise The Story Studio. We will never knowingly misuse photos, neither will we ever reveal a child's identity. We will always check with parents before using a photo.

5. Holidays
- Public Holidays The Story Studio will not schedule term-time workshops on public holidays. We may offer holiday workshops on these days, which will be advertised ahead of time.
- School Holidays The Story Studio will not schedule term-time workshops during the summer and Christmas school breaks. (We may offer holiday workshops, which will be advertised ahead of time.) Due to the variation in school holiday dates scheduled by the different schools in Hong Kong, while every effort will be made to schedule our term-time workshops outside of school breaks, we accept there may be instances where our term-time workshops and school holidays conflict. In these circumstances, if a student cannot attend a workshop, a make up class will be offered.
